A person listing their car for sale spends an average of 23 minutes carefully inputting the correct information and pictures to increase the odds that someone will buy their vehicle.
Makes sense, because which ad would you respond to: the one with little information and no intriguing pictures or the one someone took time to fill out completely and include actual images of the car?
So why is it that we don’t do the same when trying to fill highly important roles within our companies? If you were looking for a job, would you be more intrigued to apply to a company that provided a thorough job description including all the pertinent information, such as earning potential and a dynamic profile about the company’s culture, or the one who writes a few boring sentences about the job with no information on the culture or all of the great benefits?
Just like in advertising (or if you have ever watched an episode of Mad Men), content is king, so ask yourself this: what does the content of your job listing say about your company and the role you are trying to fill?
So today, when you fill out that job description, put yourself in the shoes of a candidate. Ask yourself – would I be excited to work for this company after reading this?
Here are 4 important pieces of information you must include in a great job post if you want to attract great candidates:

A person listing their car for sale spends an average of 23 minutes carefully inputting the correct information and adding pictures to increase the odds that someone will buy their vehicle.
The time is worth it, because which ad would you respond to: the one with little information and no intriguing pictures, or the one someone took the time to fill out, provided the information you need, and showed you actual images of the car? No need to kid ourselves here, the best will always be picked first, and that will never change.
Then why is it we don’t put in the same amount of effort when trying to do one of the most important things in our life – finding employment. Other job platforms have made it so easy to upload a resume and apply, and in the process we forget to make ourselves stand out.
So before you apply to that position, ask yourself – if I were the employer, would I be impressed with this job seeker?
If you don’t like your answer, use these 5 tips to optimize your hiredMYway.com profile and ensure you show up in more employers’ search results:

Are you struggling to pick a career path that’s right for you? Or just wondering what types of careers fit different types of people?
The career you end up with isn’t usually a random choice – you think about it carefully, choosing school or training based on it, and maybe even experiment with a few types of jobs before settling on your career of choice. People take personality tests, career assessments (would you rather: build a bird house, or lift things up and put them down?), consult coaches, and use various other methods to determine where they should end up.
We decided to go back to one of the most basic assessments that is usually pretty easy to answer: What was your favorite class in school? Then we (non-scientifically!) put together this flowchart to help you go from there.
Start with your favorite subject and see where you end up!

We interviewed David Bitel, General Manager of Detroit Radiator, a great new company hiring now on hiredMYway.com. He spoke about the company, what it’s like to work there, and advice for job seekers!
Quality products at a fair price, delivered by exceptional customer service. Since 1936 Detroit Radiator Corporation has been the most trusted name in aftermarket cooling products. When we changed our focus from automotive to Heavy Duty Trucks over 20 years ago, we had one goal in mind: to provide the best cooling solutions – PERIOD. Since that time we have engineered some of the best aftermarket heavy-duty radiators, charge air coolers and A/C condensers on the market, and our name – Detroit Radiator Corp. – has become the most widely recognized brand name in the industry.
We could have settled with manufacturing radiators that meet OEM specifications, but we didn’t. Instead, we pioneered the manufacturing of radiators that solved problems the OEM couldn’t. We also design the manufacture custom core solutions for a variety of industrial, agricultural and heavy-duty transportation applications. And we continuously research innovative approaches to deliver the best products in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Recently, we’ve all heard about employers seeking passwords to their potential candidates’ social media sites.
The pros and cons of this action have caused a huge stir among the population and struck up a debate about privacy in the workplace and the job interviewing process.
The most popular opinion that has been portrayed seems to be that of the candidates – but what about the employers? What exactly are the pros and cons of looking at a candidate’s social media page when hiring?
