Techweek is an event where Chicago & Midwestern professionals in the tech field or working for tech companies explore exhibition, pitches, product launches, and interactive events in innovation, new technology, design & media, and entrepreneurship. Over 10,000 people explore more than 60 events over 5 days.
Why Chicago?
Well, Chicago has been growing as a city for tech industry, as many successful tech start-ups and businesses have grown out of roots in the Windy City – including Groupon, GrubHub, and Restaurant.com. One reason for the growth in tech is the development of a venture capital community in Chicago with the ability to fund new start-ups in the area. Chicago also has a vibrant economy, eliminating some of the economic barriers that other cities have been experiencing. There are also lots of connections companies find attractive, like the large advertising industry in Chicago. According to a recent report, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and SalesForce are all expanding their Chicago offices to capitalize on the local talent and the connections to nearby advertising agencies.

On Monday, hiredMYway.com will be featured on the panel, Building the Next Generation of Enterprise HR Apps, speaking about talent acquisition using technology, including using cloud-based technology and building enterprise applications, with a focus on entrepreneurial opportunities. There is definitely an exciting future for technology useage in HR, obviously a huge part of waht we do here at hiredMYway.com – which is what our CEO Matt Mosher will be speaking to on the panel. He joins an all-star panel, including co-founder of Hireology Adam Robinson, co-founder/CEO of Fieldglass Jai Shekhawat, venture capitalist Benedict Rocchio, and Tom Callam, Director of HR at Corbett, Duncan & Hubly PC, hosted by Lisa Leiter of Crain’s Chicago Business.
hiredMYway.com will also be exhibiting during the day on Friday, June 22st, and at the Hiring Fair on Saturday, June 23rd.
