Describe your company in one sentence:
We’re a technology company focused on process efficiency, or process automation.
What is the work environment like at ImageSoft?
We’re very entrepreneurial. We’re a lean organization with a lot of very energetic and creative people. If you were looking at us as an applicant, we hire the best and brightest so you’re going to work with talent that you can learn from and grow with.
What is a typical day like at ImageSoft?
One thing that is unique about us is that our people get to work with a lot of different customers and projects. You’re going to work on many types of challenges over time. We serve a variety of customers so our people are exposed to on a myriad of projects and clients.
What is your favorite thing about your company?
Two things: we have great customers and great staff. We’ve been selective about who we work with and who works for us because we want real partnerships with our customers. We really have a family type atmosphere. We’re all very close. We have a set of core values that everyone subscribes to.
What characteristics do you look for in job seekers when hiring?
We look for three things: attitude, aptitude, and a history of success. We look for job-seekers that are looking for a career and not just a job.
Any advice for job seekers looking to work in your industry?
If you’re trying to work in any computer industry, you have to look at what are the specific technology requirements of that industry – what are the popular platforms and tools of that world. We work a lot with Microsoft tools. Look for an organization that has a culture that fits your personality. You spend too much time at work to not enjoy the people you work with. In general, try to avoid hopping from job to job. Try to be loyal and patient and selective in your work, it takes some time and loyalty to climb the ladder of success at most companies.

Where is your field/industry headed?
We’re in the electronic content management field. It’s exploding with opportunities. We’re also in the workflow industry. Those two fields are growing dramatically because everyone wants to be as efficient as possible. We do well when the economy is good and when the economy is bad. There’s a great need for our technology in any type of economy. Electronic document management is eventually going to be in any company of any size.
How has technology changed or affected your business?
We are a technology company so it affects us every day because we’re implementing it for customers. As technology changes it becomes more and more difficult for customers to stay on top of it while running their business. That’s where we come in. We’re the experts. And, we also use the technology that we sell, so that helps us to be more efficient.
What are some of the things you do for fun when you are not working?
As a company, we do a lot with sports. We’re big Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings fans. We play tennis, golf. We’re a pretty active bunch. We have golf leagues, folks that play in Frisbee leagues. We have X Boxes in the office.
How do you want to be remembered?
We want to be remembered for building a great company that was able to offer career opportunities to a lot of people and save a lot of customer’s money by making them more efficient.
